ID. Buzz
Creating a buzz for the coolest van of our generation.
The most iconic people mover of all times got a rehaul in 2022. Kickstarting a digital campaign that made headlines, the team at Virtue Worldwide and I decided to tap into culture by enlisting some of the most exciting talents in the fields of music, food, visual arts and sports.
In the first phase, we teamed up with Grammy-nominee Jayda G to create a track that’s as electrifying as the vehicle itself. By blending field recordings from a road trip with the ID. Buzz with her signature sound, she distilled the essence of the car into a track. This hero film and a series of social cutdowns show the conception of the track and see her talking about her life on the road.
In the next phase, Barcelona’s visionary duo Boldtron crafted a digital sculpture inspired by the ID. Buzz., incorporating the memorable silhouette into their eclectic visual landscape.
Lastly, Salt & Silver set out for a culinary adventure in the outskirts of Hamburg, harvesting ingredients on a road trip with the ID. Buzz. A coveted supper club bookended the experience, showing off these local ingredients in a tasting menu that celebrates refined Northern German flavours.
